LVT Flooring Structure

Luxury vinyl flooring is a waterproof hard surface flooring, luxury vinyl flooring has the look and feel of hardwood. Luxury vinyl, also known as LVT/LVP flooring, is very affordable, durable, and supports walking, pets, and everyday home use. LVT/LVP flooring is easy to maintain and comes in a variety of colors and styles.

LVT and LVP are made from regular vinyl tiles and consist of 3 layers, each designed to achieve the desired color and texture effect. The first layer is called the wear layer, and it absorbs all scuffs and scratches while resisting stains without affecting the design or functionality of the tile. The second layer is the printed design layer, which gives the real ceramic or stone visual effect and makes them look so real. The third layer is the tile backing, which adds structural strength, integrity, and durability to each vinyl tile.

Together these three layers form the basis of LVT and LVP floor tiles, considered the most innovative, high-performing and versatile tiles available today.

These flooring materials mimic the texture of natural wood or stone, but offer practical advantages over natural materials.

Q What are the advantages of LVT and LVP flooring?

Environmentally friendly and free of formaldehyde and heavy metals such as lead and cadmium, they are ideal materials for interior design. They are waterproof, moisture-proof, shrink-proof, pressure-resistant, abrasion-resistant, easy to clean, durable, easy to maintain, bright surface texture, colorful, high-quality, stylish, easy to color-match, and suitable for a variety of interior design styles.
Q How to choose the wear-resistant layer thickness of LVT flooring?

The different wear layer thickness apply to different applications, for residential use, 0.2-0.3mm wear layer thickness is enough, but for commercial application and heavy traffic, we suggest you can consider 0.5-0.7mm wear layer thickness.
Q Can LVT flooring be laid over existing floors?

LVT click floors up to 4 mm thick can be laid over existing floors. However, LVT floors with dry subfloors must be self-leveling before installation.
Q Does LVT flooring contain formaldehyde?

No, LVT flooring does not contain formaldehyde. It is a new, environmentally friendly building material that contains no formaldehyde either in the raw materials or in the manufacturing process.
Q What is the fire rating of LVT flooring?

The fire rating of LVT flooring is Bfl-S1 according to EN13501-1.
Q Is LVT flooring waterproof and flame retardant?

Yes, LVT flooring is 100% waterproof and flame retardant. LVT flooring is made of PVC resin and inorganic stone powder, both of which are waterproof and flame retardant.
Q What are the technical advantages of LVT and LVP flooring?

(1) They can be easily used with floor tiles without transition profiles.
(2) Some colors reflect light: Some LVT and LVP colors have a high light reflectance value (LRV). This means the tiles reflect more light and less artificial light is needed to illuminate the room. Less artificial light is needed to illuminate the room.

Yes, we are a factory, Proluxe floor established in 1992，we has involved in the manufacturing and exporting Rigid vinyl (SPC), WPC; MGO;MSPC; MWPC; Luxury vinyl flooring and flooring accessories.
Proluxe floor has to date invested a large amount in it’s production facility, covering a land area of about 60000 square meters and 12 production lines, The annual production capacity reaches 30 minllion square meters.
Q How do you ensure the quality of the LVT floor?

Each step is strictly controlled by the QC team to ensure that all of our LVT floor products are good. And you can also hire a third -party QC inspection, which will greatly ensure the quality of your LVT flooring products from production to transportation.
Q How long is the delivery time of LVT flooring?

The delivery time of an LVT flooring order is about 30-35 days. After receiving 30 % prepaid from the LVT flooring order (the LVT flooring sample will be prepared in about 7 days). The conventional order of LVT flooring can be completed in about 20-25 days.
Q Do you provide OEM my own brand on LVT flooring?

Yes, we provide special labels for LVT flooring. Customized LVT flooring design, size and carton, we can also help your LVT flooring design carton, sample swatch to help you sell LVT flooring.
